Iranian karatekas grabs 9 medals in SKWC

TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) – Iran has won 9 gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Shotokan Karate World Championship held in Japan.

The 12th Shotokan Karate World Championship, which kicked off yesterday in Japan to mark the 25th anniversary of the World Federation’s establishment, is attended by fighters from 40 countries and Iran has gained several medals in different sections.

Iran’s team has won a total of 9 gold, silver, and bronze medals and the medal winners include Alireza Nadimi Ghasroldasht, Ahamd safi, Amirbahador Tadayon, Soheil Sajedi Far, Rouzbeh Roshani, Zahra Sheikhi, Fatemeh Movafaghi, Ghazal Naderi, Atena Momeni, Amir Hosein Niz, Mohammad Mehdi Partoafkan, Gholamali Tabarzad and Nader Gharei, respectively.

These competitions have been scheduled to end today.
